Sunday 15 July

Sainte Foy > Versant Soleil

As this is our first day cycling in the area and we have some tough days coming up this week, we will provide a guided ride today into the Tarentaise valley.  We provide minibus support, and packed lunch during the rides, plus our bike guide will ride with you and plan the day.

We will keep it relatively short but if you feel at the end of the day that you want to do it a bit more, you can ride from Bourg St Maurice back up to the chalet in Sainte Foy for a 15km steady climb.

Sainte Foy > Vulmix > Versant Soleil > Notre-Dame-du-Pré > Bourg St Maurice (ride back up to Sainte Foy for those who can)

Monday 16 July, 2018

Albertville > Col du Pré > Cormet de Roselend > La Rosière

After the cobbles of Northern France the riders of the 2018 Tour de France will enjoy their first rest day in Annecy.

We will transfer you over to Albertville and we will ride stage 11 of Le Tour from Albertville to La Rosière, which is 108km.  Transfer or ride back to Sainte Foy after La Rosière.

Tuesday 17 July, 2018

Sainte Foy > Col de L’Iseran

Today we take the opportunity to tackle the giant Col de L’Iseran via Val d’Isère.  This is one of the highest paved roads in Europe, and a classic of Le Tour.

Wednesday 18 July, 2018

Sainte Foy > La Rosière (VIP Hospitality for end of Stage 11)

The next Alpine stage of Le Tour follows our Monday route, and starts from Albertville with a finish in La Rosière, a popular French ski resort on the Italian border just across the valley from Sainte Foy.

We are in a great place in Sainte Foy to enjoy a guided ride to La Rosière and (depending on timings) on to the the Col du Petit Saint Bernard on some of today’s race route before returning to La Rosière where we have access to watch today’s finish VIP style at the ‘Izoard’ finish hospitality venue.

About the Izoard finish line hospitality area

The Tour de France sets up a limited number of areas located on course within the final portion of the stage. These have names like Izoard and Galibier. Access to these areas is usually reserved and by invitation only. You will see famous ex-cyclists, sponsors and team guests. Typically these areas are within 200 metres or so of the finish line. There is also a spectator friendly elevated viewing area. You will be served with drinks and snacks and there is a big screen to watch the LIVE action as it unfolds. After watching the finish, you will celebrate the victory with Champagne.

Thursday 19 July, 2018

Stage 12 Village Depart in Bourg St Maurice

Today we have access to the ‘Village Depart’ area in Bourg St Maurice for the start of Stage 12 of Le Tour.

The 2018 Tour de France entourage and organisation travel around with the riders. The team buses park within an enclosed and restricted area. An expo type village is created at the start of each one of the stages. It is usually here that everyone who is linked in any way to the Tour de France like TV, sponsors and celebrities from the cycling world congregate. Also local companies will be keen to show off their wares. Your VIP passes will give you access to the village and the rider’s paddock.

Friday 20 July, 2018

Col de la Madeleine

Today is our final riding day, and we will climb the Col de la Madeleine which features on Thursday’s stage 12 from Bourg St Maurice to Alpe d’Huez.  We will start from Bourg St Maurice today and ride the first section of the stage into the Maurienne Valley via the Col de la Madeleine. For those with the legs, it is possible to ride the Col in reverse before riding back to Sainte Foy.

Saturday 21 July, 2018

Departure day

As the riders of the 2018 Tour de France move south towards the Pyrenees, it is time to depart Sainte Foy. We will run 2 airport transfers to Geneva airport, arriving in Geneva at 09.00 and 14.00. The journey takes about 2.5hrs so please ensure that your flight times are in line with this.
